To ensure consistency of the YoungCapital brand throughout the high and low code applications the out-of-the-box design system of Mendix needed to be tailored. Here I got to learn the benefits the default building blocks offer developers and the impact it has on the development speed and maintenance when you deviate from these standards. To get a head start we started with adjusting the Mendix fundamentals (colors, typography, logo) to the ones from YoungCapital. The Design System of Mendix comes with a fixed set of component variants, while we were used to more variants in YoungCapital High Code development. To ensure an optimal result, this needed a close collaboration between design &amp; front-end development. We needed to try things out and tweak components to fit both the development and UX needs to cover the most common scenarios we might encounter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0893958 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0893958\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>Documentation &amp; guidelines<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure effective implementation &amp; future scalability, we provided detailed documentation and usage guidelines in Figma. For this a close collaboration with the front-end developer was needed as well.
